While David Bowie may have spent the better part of his earthbound years invading the airwaves with his original music, he had a penchant for cover songs like “Across the Universe” by the Beatles and “I Wanna Be Your Dog” by Detroit’s own the Stooges. To return the favor, the Loving Touch will host its fourth annual Bowie Night, in which metro Detroit’s leading indie acts will get the chance to pay tribute to the fallen “Starman” with a night of Bowie covers. Siamese, Vazum, Hans Barbe, and Black Tie Circus are among the evening’s performers, while DJ Bryan Foreman will DJ an all-Bowie, all-vinyl set throughout the evening.
Bowie Night IV will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the Loving Touch; 22634 Woodward Ave., Ferndale; 248-820-5596; thelovingtouchferndale.com; Free before 8 p.m., $5 after.
