Updated: Janet Jackson's entire tour postponed until next year

Updated, April 8: While originally we wrote that Janet Jackson will perform a rescheduled date at the Palace of Auburn Hills on July 23, today we learned that Janet Jackson's Unbreakable Tour of North America will be postponed until 2017.

New dates will be announced at a later time and tickets will be honored for the re-scheduled dates. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase

The original press release from late last year is as follows.

JANET JACKSON POSTPONES UNBREAKABLE WORLD TOUR

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Janet Jackson has postponed her Unbreakable World Tour, which included a date at The Palace on Friday, February 5, 2016, due to surgery.

The Grammy-winning singer took to Twitter on Christmas Eve to send the following message to her fans:
"Hey you guys… Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon’ b alright."

Tickets will be honored at the newly announced date. All dates will be rescheduled this summer.
