Nothing like a break-up ballad to stir up some mid-week feels.

Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas premiered the ultra-feminine and ethereal video for "Break Your Heart" via Remezcla.com and it's actually totally devastating.

"Break Your Heart" is, at its core, a love song. Despite its hyper-romanticism, however, Hernandez finds a tender way to explore the art of the apology without ever saying "sorry."

Directed by Kate Hollowell, the video reveals a tranquil Hernandez who appears shrouded in flowers and billowing fabric. There's enough soft focus and lens flare to make even the most cynical shed a tear.

Though minimal in its production, the visuals and the message make for a subtle yet poignant mirage of dream, daydream, and motherhood.

The track is from last summer's double LP Telephone, which was released in both English and Spanish editions, and is quite the departure from the album's riotous attitude. This video is more than just promo material, however.  The release of  "Break Your Heart" celebrates the mother-to-be's 38th week of pregnancy.

"I wanted to be able to look at the video 20 years from now with my daughter, and show her how empowered I felt in that moment when I decided I could be a mother, and a wife, and an artist all at the same time and I didn’t have to choose,” Hernandez told Remezcla.
