Breathe in, breathe out — this isn't a time machine, this is a nostalgia-heavy tri-headlining tour with Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, and the Cult.
The "Revolution 3" Tour will celebrate the first time the three bands have toured together. The 20-city tour will invite the artists to switch-up the order of the lineup each night with a full set. The tour, which will kick off in Nashville, Tenn., will visit the Michigan Lottery Amphitheater at Freedom Hill on July 24.
Notably, Stone Temple Pilots ushered in a new era with metro-Detroit native Jeff Gutt last year, nearly two years after the death of the band's iconic frontman Scott Weiland. Gutt, a finalist on the talent-based reality show The X-Factor, auditioned last year to fill the vacancy left by the late Chester Bennington of Linkin Park after Weiland had been publicly fired from the band in 2013.
'90s favorites Bush (led by Gwen Stefani's ex-husband Gavin Rossdale) delivered their seventh studio record last year, Black and White Rainbows. Meanwhile, '80s Britsh post-punk outfit the Cult, best known for their hit single "She Sells Sanctuary," saw moderate success with their 2016 release Hidden City.
