In celebration of his latest project Live from the 6 (Part Two), local hip-hop artist Icewear Vezzo will be supplying free bus rides for Detroiters.

The promotion covers DDOT service from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, encompassing the east and west routes of Fenkell, McNichols (Six Mile), Seven Mile, and Eight Mile.

“Vezzo has nothing but love for Detroit and anything he can do to inspire, strengthen, and help his community, he’s going to do it,” says Vezzo’s longtime manager Chanel Domonique.

Bus riders can show up to their preferred bus stop, board, and ride as they normally do. There is also a chance that Icewear Vezzo himself may make an appearance on one or several of the bus routes.

Fans who already have Vezzo’s new album downloaded can show the driver for free entry or scan the provided barcodes to be granted a free ride. The barcode will also provide links to stream or download the album.

This is the second time this year Vezzo has supplied free bus rides to Detroiters. On February 2, Vezzo provided free bus service for the entire West McNichols route to coincide with the release of his project Live from the 6.

“We got such a huge response and outpouring of love last time, it only made sense we do it again but bigger. With Live from the 6 (Part Two) comes the bus take over part two,” says Domonique.
