NPR writes that this jazzy ensemble “sweeps across eras and genres with grace and wit,” and that right there gets to the heart of why this highly approachable, enjoyable, and rather sexy act is worth taking time out of your evening, and cash from your wallet. As you probably know, Leftover Cuties first got started in Los Angeles in 2008. The band consists of Shirli McAllen, Austin Nicholsen, Mike Bolger, and Stuart Johnson. The Showtime original series The Big C used a song by the band as its theme music.

Wednesday, July 27, doors open at 7:30 p.m.; The Ark 316 S. Main St., Ann Arbor; theark.org; $15.
