Hazel Park Art Fair returns for sixth year this weekend

Summer’s winding down, but we have a few outdoor art fairs left before we can say the season’s officially over. The Hazel Park Art Fair, now in its sixth year, will take over Green Acres Park for a two-day celebration of art. Festivalgoers will be treated to mediums like painting, drawing, jewelry, textiles, photography, glasswork, mixed media, and more. In addition to your typical art fair offerings, there will also be live model sessions, Tai Chi classes, fruit and vegetable vendors, local food and beer, and performances by 18 local bands.

That festival takes place on Saturday. Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Green Acres Park located at 620 W. Woodward Heights Blvd., Hazel Park. For info go to facebook.com/HazelParkArtFair. Entry is free.
