Pig & Whiskey —
Metro Times' annual celebration of
live music, barbecue, and booze — is set to return to Ferndale for July 14-16, and today we can officially announce the full musical lineup.
Headlining acts include the industrious Electric Six on Friday, bluesman Laith Al-Saadi on Saturday, and funk experts
Will Sessions on Sunday. Other featured acts throughout the weekend include the High Strung, Frontier Ruckus,
Anna Burch,
Craig Brown Band, Libby Decamp, Stone Clover, and many more.
Food-wise, a number of restaurants will be on hand, including Slows Bar BQ, Rock City Eatery, Zeke's Rock 'n' Roll BBQ, and GreenSpace Cafe, among others. As for booze — there's too much to even begin to name here. This year's festival features a larger footprint that extends further down Nine Mile (to ease congestion) and a free ferris wheel.
As always, Pig & Whiskey will be held in downtown Ferndale on Nine Mile and East Troy Street between Woodward Avenue Brewers and the Emory. It's all ages and admission is free.
