Sadie Q isn't just a huge lover of music, she's a huge lover of Detroit music. And she isn't just a huge lover of Detroit music, she spends a lot of her time promoting Detroit music. She runs the blog Hip in Detroit and puts on shows everywhere from the Loving Touch to the Magic Stick to Small's. She performed as Courtney Love at Creepy Cheapy last year and put on her own ode to '90s music this Halloween.

Though she celebrates local music on the regular, Sadie also has a huge love for all things pop. She might be the biggest Lady Gaga fan you've ever met and she's even donned her very own meat dress. She'll defend Kayne, even though she knows he's kind of an a-hole, and she's all about girl power. We asked her to put together a little playlist of songs that she loves getting down to before going out. Here are her five favorite tunes to jam to before hitting Detroit for a night of drinking, dancing, and general revelry.

"Marry the Night" | Lady Gaga

I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan (I've dressed up as her more than a few times) and this song gets me super amped up for a night out in the city. "I'm gonna lace up my boots, throw on some leather, and cruise down the street that I love in my fishnet gloves. I'm a sinner" — I feel like this song was written about me!

"None of Your Business" | Salt-N-Pepa

There's nothing more empowering than a woman who owns her sexuality! Salt-N-Pepa embody girl power and get me pumped up to take over the town!

"Celebrity Skin" | Hole

I'm a Riot grrrl at heart, and this is one of our anthems! "You want a part of me? Well, I'm not selling cheap." I performed as Courtney Love last year at Creepy Cheapy, and it was one of the best nights of my life.

"Touch the Sky" | Kanye West

Sure, Kayne has his faults, but damn, he knows how to write a hit. I dare you to listen to the horns on this track and not want to dance!

"Queen of the Night" | Whitney Houston

Yes, this is off

The Bodyguard soundtrack. Yes, I love everything about the '90s. Nobody owned diva like Whitney Houston did. Rest in peace, my queen!
