If you're in the know about metropolitan nightlife then chances are you've heard of the Bosco, the trendy bar lurking behind frosted glass windows in downtown Ferndale. Open for not quite two years, the spot's so stylish that even the lack of signage isn't keeping patrons away. On a Friday night, the place is packed with good-looking twenty- and thirtysomethings with a "Sex and the City"-like flair for fashion. Singles mingle in front of the marble-backed bar, spilling out onto the enclosed patio area where chic-looking space heaters keep things toasty when temperatures cool. Inside, the dimly lit, ultra-modern decor gives off the vibe of a cozy lounge, although the tunes are more hip-hop-oriented than jazzy and the weekend crowd can be boisterous. Jet-setters can order classy refreshments from the seasonal drink menu for $5-$9. The dirty martini was delicious - and oh-so-hip
