From “Misery Business” to “Fake Happy,” pop-punk priestess Hayley Williams and her Paramore crew have proved themselves to be the ultimate musical mood ring.

Having traded in the mosh pit for a dance floor on 2017’s After Laughter, Paramore has proved their staying power with their ability to change direction and, of course, Williams’ vocal tenacity. Take “Hard Times” — a Blondie-esque new wave jam, or the synthpop-heavy “Rose-Colored Boy.” In the ten years since Paramore first emerged, they have graduated from Hot Topic to just plain haute, and we are totally here for it. Foster the People and Soccer Mommy are also on the bill.

Paramore will perform with Foster the People on Friday, June 29 at DTE Energy Music Theatre; Doors open at 6 p.m.; 7774 Sashabaw Rd., Clarkston; 248-377-0100; 313presents.com; Tickets are $25-$85.
