It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Adam Lee Miller and Nicola Kuperus of ADULT. and they're here to fuck shit up.
Leave it to Detroit electro-clash duo ADULT. to release their upcoming record at a hangar at Colman A. Young International Airport because in their 20 years of provocative pleather-clad synth dungeon rock they've proven that freak flags are meant to fly.
Case in point: the band's recently released video for "Perversions of Humankind" from their forthcoming record This Behavior. The event, scheduled for Sept. 8 put on by UFO Factory and El Club will serve as a dual release party along with Universal Eyes (that's a super collaboration between Wolf Eyes and Universal Indians).
"This year ADULT. is turns 20-years-old and we liked the idea of harking back to our first album. We knew we wanted to do something really special," Kuperus says. "It has taken a lot of work already but now we have this incredible location and incredible lineup!"
ADULT. and Universal Eyes will share the hanger along with Boy Harsher, FlucT, and DJ's Zola Jesus, Prism Views, and John "Jammin" Collins.
ADULT. will perform with Universal Eyes on Saturday, September 8 at the Coleman A. Young International Airport, Hangar 1; 313-279-7382; elclubdetroit.com; Tickets are $15-$20.
