We were very saddened to hear that Amp Fiddler's teenage son, Dorian, passed away last Friday, May 1st, due to undisclosed health issues. It's terrible when a parent loses a child -- just not the way it's supposed to be -- and we wish the great musician and his family our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy at this difficult time.

And just in case you're not in the loop and missed it, in more uplifting news, the Free Press first reported yesterday that Meg White is tying the knot with Jackson Smith in Nashville on May 22nd. The couple has reportedly been living together in White's Detroit home and decided to get engaged several weeks ago. According to the unnamed source for this news, they plan to host a reception for family and friends in D-town sometime after the Nashville ceremony.

Congratulations to the happy couple. No verification yet, though, to rumors that the newlyweds' first dance will be to Billy Idol's "White Wedding"...
