OK guys, this is cool. Crash Detroit is an event that brings together street bands in hope of providing inspiring and off-the-cuff entertainment to locals. On the first day of Crash Detroit, bands will spontaneously perform at various locations around the city of Detroit. On the second day of the festival, a family-friendly event will be held at Roosevelt Park bringing together visual art, food, and music. Performers include The Detroit Party Marching Band, Environmental Encroachment, Bitch, Thunder, the Party Band, Dead Music Capital Band, Black Bear Combo, Jefferson St. Parade Band, Black Sheep Ensemble, March Madness Marching Band, and the James Cornish Ensemble.

Runs Fri-Sat, July 15-16, noon-10 p.m.; Vernor Hwy, Detroit; crashdetroit.org; free.
