Meanwhile, Detroit-psyche-twanging quartet Duende have been bit by the archivalist bug, with its lead singer / guitarist Jeff Howitt having recently excavated an old novel of his from before he could legally drink...and, now, with the band putting up free downloadable concerts, zip-mixes of MP3s from shows'-gone-by.

This week, an honor of the unfortunate closing of New York's "musical mainstay" of the East Village, the Lakeside Lounge, they're streaming a show they performed their back in early 2009, between studio sessions with Matt Verta Ray for what would become their Remnant of a Remnant LP.
