The Curmudgeons, the super-group featuring Jackson Smith, Vinnie Dombroski, Chef Chris, James Cloyd Jr., Erich Goebel and Dylan Dunbar, will perform together for one night only at Sinbad’s in Detroit on August 25. Cover is $10.

“This will truly be an exciting and fun night of music,” explains The Curmudgeons’ Jackson Smith. “We’ll be trading instruments and vocals, conjuring up spontaneous moments of pure musical magic,” he adds.

Dombroski, of course, plays with the Orbitsuns, Crud and Sponge. Jackson Smith (son of Patti and the MC5’s Fred) has played with the likes of Elton John, Steve Earle and Elvis Costello. He is currently a member of Amy Gore’s Valentines, as well as the Orbitsuns and the Waycross Georgia Farmboys with Dunbar.

Grammy-nominated bassist and vocalist James Cloyd Jr. has played with countless blues legends, most notably BB King, Albert King, and Otis Rush in addition to the Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia.

It should be a special night.
