Causes don’t really get any better than this one.
On Saturday, Simon’s After Dark in Allen Park will host a benefit show and raffle to raise money for victims of domestic abuse. Bands on the bill include Jibs Brown, Ratzass, Busby’s Death Chair, the “D” Sides and Mary Jane’s Pride.
According to the Facebook event page, “This is a fundraiser for a close friend and her 3 yr old son, she has been unable to work due to reconstructive surgery and has been evicted. They need help to find permanent shelter and a car. Cover is $10 which will be donated to the cause.”
The raffle will feature tattoo and piercing gift certificates courtesy of Suicide King’s Tattoos and Johnson’s Tattoos, a guitar, original artwork, psychic readings, gift baskets (including some MT goodies), and MC5 and Stooges books signed by yours truly.
This is a hell of a good cause so show up and make a difference.
