Local label Static Records is responsible for some fascinating releases over the years, not least an awesome Iggy Pop tribute album a few years ago. On Thursday September 27, Static is bringing Japanese (J-Rock) all-girl power trio the Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass to the Corktown Tavern. Locals White Shag and the Luckouts support.
The show, the band’s Detroit debut, will see them promoting the second album, Return of the King Zero.
On Facebook, the girls say, “Most powerful catalyst to motivate the band is the vigor of man's resurrection from the sorrowful and loss. This is what THE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS would like to admire through their performing the songs.
