One of City Slang’s favorite haunts, Detroit’s Showtime Clothing, will host a concert on February 11 at the Hastings Street Ballroom to promote both local and national acts.

Of course, we are more interested in the local bands, which include Bixy Lutz (pictured), Bloodline Riot, Citizen Zero, Curbstone Beauty, Glitter Trash, Haflife and Saturnine Hello.

National acts appearing include Barb Wire Dolls (LA), the Ruby Spirit (Toronto) and Ultraviolet Radio (San Fran). The latter are of interest to us, as they are comprised of former members of the Go.

“I wanted to help local bands get in front of larger crowds and add some excitement and fun to the scene,” explained Showtime’s Dan Tatarian.

The bands will perform on two stages between 8 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. There are free tickets available at Showtime Clothing (5708 Woodward Ave., Detroit) while they are availble. Cover on the night for those without tickets in $10.
