Local awesome indie rockers Prussia have announced that the band’s video for “What am I Gonna Tell Your Mom?” will be premiered here, on Impose.
In addition, the “My Marie” single will be premiered on AOL Spinner.
In a statement, the band said that, “Over the past three months the Detroit band has released a series of 10"'s called the Poor English series. Part 1 & 2 are out now! The Poor English series is comprised of swaggering drum loops, intricate guitar compositions, and buttery vocal harmonies all supporting the sweet nasal crooning of singer Ryan Spencer. Stories of suicide, misogyny, sexual vacancy, and the crippling ennui of illusory love all weave in and out of catchy pop songs. Lyrically, it’s T.S. Eliot’s drunken scribbling on a bathroom wall. Having already shared the stage with Fiery Furnaces, The Flaming Lips, Quasi, EMA, Dr. Dog, Islands, Beach House, and tUnE-YaRdS. Prussia are now gearing up for CMJ.
Oh yes, CMJ. Prussia has announced five CMJ dates:
10/18 at the Cake Shop in New York, 10/19 at Piano’s in New York, 10/20 at the Cake Shop (again), 10/21 at Union Hall in Brooklyn, and 10/22 at the Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn.
Do you think they’ll be wearing Tigers shirts and hats for all those New York dates? HA!
