I’m going to toot my horn a little bit here.
On Tuesday, February 26, yours truly will be the featured guest at the “Good Reds Good Reads - Motor City Rock Night”, hosted by Wayne State University Press and MotorCity Wine.
I’ll be talking about my books, MC5: Sonically Speaking and The Stooges: Head On, as well as my work for the Metro Times and Detroit music in general. It all starts at 6 p.m., and there is no cover which means more money in your pocket to spend on wine. Happy Hour Specials & Charcuterie will be available.
This is going to be a fun night. Come along and throw questions at me while glugging wine at a great venue.
Wayne State says, “Meet up at Detroit's best wine bar and meet Metro Times music journalist Brett Callwood, author of two excellent documents of Motor City rock history. Come get an earful of Detroit's vintage guitar sounds and a mouthful of vintage you-know-what. And, of course, Brett will be signing books.”
To top it off, attendees will be entered into a drawing to win copies of "The Stooges: Head On: A Journey through the Michigan Underground" & "MC5: Sonically Speaking: A Tale of Revolution and Rock ‘n’ Roll"!
