The video for Detroit’s Grammy-nominated Motown star Kem’s new single “You’re On My Mind” is online now, and can be viewed here.
According to the press release, “In his “You’re On My Mind” video, KEM stars as a man who has suffered a recent relationship breakup. After being alone in his house for some time reflecting on the relationship, his friends come over to take him out for a night on the town to get his mind off things. Fortunately or unfortunately for KEM, his friends are played by actor/comedians, Anthony Anderson and Bruce Bruce, who give a unique, comedic response to the reflective love story. KEM’s love interest in the video is played by singer Goapele.”
“We had a lot of fun during the making of this video,” said KEM. “It was very different than any other video we’ve made in the past. The premise is that my friends, Anthony Anderson and Bruce Bruce have come to my house to help me get my mind off a woman who I’ve recently ended a relationship with (Goapele). Many of my songs are about a brother coming to terms with himself and then bringing himself back to his woman and ‘You’re On My Mind’ is a reflection of that. This is the last single from the INTIMACY album, so I feel like we’re leaving a lasting impression.”
