The Jamaican Queens play the Blind Pig tonight, Saturday, February 23.
The band is performing Wormfood, its debut album.
It also has a video out for new single “Water”, which can be seen here.
“Ryan and Adam were formerly in the band Prussia, and teamed up to record Wormfood last winter, mixed by Christopher Lazlo Koltay (Akron/Family, Dirtbombs). The fusion of Ryan's melodies and Adam's knowledge of underground music and production has given way to their "odd pop" sound, influenced by the southern rap beats of Three 6 Mafia, Gucci Mane, and Young Jeezy, as well as the experimentation of Brian Eno and Lee Scratch Perry.”
