Detroit metal-heads Ghosts of August have been added to the line up for the Rock on the Range festival, taking place May 18-20 in Columbus, OH. Ghosts of August join bands as prestigious as Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Anthrax, Slash and the Darkness on the bill.

According to a press release, “Ghosts of August has been tearing up commercial radio with their potent rock single “Disease,” – even securing regular rotation on 89x – no easy feat for an independent band. “Our sound and songs are meant to connect with the audience on a deeper level,” states lead singer Dave Holowchak, “but we also understand that there is a fine line between creating art-for-art’s sake and coming up with songs and material that have commercial appeal.” Ghosts of August’s massive hooks, crushing instrumentation, creative introspection and evocative lyrics are a perfect balance between art and appeal.”

Tickets for the festival are available from February 10. Visit the official website for more information, including the full line up.
