This Saturday, May 11, Grande Ballroom-era psychedelic rockers Frut (also known as Frut of the Loom) will perform at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit to celebrate the opening night of Mike Kelley’s Mobile Homestead exhibit.

Admission is $6 or free to members, and the exhibition runs from 6.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The music starts at 9.

According to the MOCAD website, “Years in the making, Mike Kelley’s Mobile Homestead is already being hailed as a provocative and intriguing work of public art. This season marks its debut as a functioning hub for community projects, events, gatherings, conversations and displays that are created by and for a diverse public. Accompanying Mobile Homestead’s inaugural season will be the exhibition Goin’ Home: Mike Kelley’s Mobile Homestead Videos and Documentation, which features the videos that were included in the 2012 Whitney Biennial.”
