The 11th annual Ferndale Metro Blues Festival started on Friday (sorry for the late post). Fear not, it runs until February 4, so there’s plenty of time to catch some great music.
The festival has stretch its wings a little this year and, despite the name, includes venues in Royal Oak Township and Hazel Park. There’s a little more variety in the music too, again despite the festival’s name. Expect to hear some jazz, rock and other delights.
Bands performing include Erich Goebel & the Flying Crowbars, Linda Piccoli Blues Group, the Reefermen, Albert Young & the Straight 8’s, the Blue Collar Boys, and the High Strung.
