On August 3, Elvis Fest takes place at Canterbury Village.
According to the Urban Dictionary, Elvii is the plural of Elvis, and there will be Elvii galore at Olde World Canterbury Village, a designated historic landmark here in Michigan.
According to the press release, “The Elvis Tribute Artists (known in the thriving Elvis business empire as ETAs), include festival coordinator Roy Rouse (If Elvis Had Lived), “70’s era Elvis” Greg Jaqua, “‘68 Comeback Leather Elvis“ Chris Ayotte, Irv Cass as “60’s/The Movies” Elvis, and Chris Solano as Elvis from the ‘50’s. Tickets for the 3pm-11pm event are just $10 in advance and $12 at the gate, and all ages are welcome to attend. Ages 12 and under are free, and there will be a variety of kid’s activities.”
Further, this summer, in celebration of Canterbury’s 20th Anniversary, Canterbury Village will play host to a wide variety of outdoor festivals and events in the 5-acre area behind the Village that will surely brand it as a premier location for live summer entertainment. Guests of “Long Live The King” Elvis Fest can also explore all of the terrific old-world amenities that Canterbury Village has to offer. “Canterbury is a wonderful and unique venue to host special events and festivals. With over 21 acres of Olde World Charm, there is no other setting like this in Oakland County,” enthuses Canterbury Village President Keith Aldridge. “Come see why some of Detroit’s best events are moving to us!”
