Over the next few weeks, sultry rock ‘n’ soul singer Eliza Neals will be playing three Detroit area shows, at Campus Martius, the Pink Pump boutique, and Arts Beats & Eats.
Neals will perform a free show as part of Campus Martius’ Summer in the Park series on Thursday, August 30 from noon-2. Later that same day, Neals will play an intimate show at the Pink Pump to celebrate that store’s 6th anniversary in Royal Oak.
Finally, Neals plays the Ford Escape Alternative Stage at Arts Beats & Eats on Monday, September 3 at 8 p.m.
Interestingly enough, Neals now has Robert Gillespie (Powertrane / Rob Tyner’s “New” MC5 / Detroit Daggers / Motor City Rockers / Torpedos) in her band.
They say, “Splitting her time between New York and Detroit, Eliza Neals has been bringing her signature 'gritty and soulful' blues tinged rock to live venues across the nation in support of her Jan. 2012 CD release "Messin with a Fool" which includes co-writing and production magic by Motown legend Barrett "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" Strong and Tino Gross.”
