On Friday, October 12, rockers Core Effect and Citizen Zero will host a joint CD release show at the Magic Bag in Ferndale.
Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door and are available now on ticketweb.com and the Magic Bag Theatre Box Office. Alternative pop-rockers Royal Hoax and acoustic songstress Moriah Sultes open the show.
Citizen Zero’s new EP is called Life Explodes, and it is the band’s first release since the tragic passing of guitarist Matt Dudley. “This EP is dedicated to Matt Dudley. We were fortunate enough to have him play on two of the six tracks. We miss him, and hope we did him proud,” explains Josh Mayle, Citizen Zero’s lead singer.
Meanwhile, Core Effect’s album is called Rubicon. “The word Rubicon means the point of no return,” explains Core Effect bassist and vocalist Randy Riddle. “It’s a statement that we want to perfect the art of no limits and shed the skin of our former selves.”
