Metal heads 60 Second Crush releases a new album called Seven this month, and will celebrate the release with a show at the Corktown Tavern on Saturday May 19. Also on the bill will be Superlast and Devil Elvis. Doors are at 9, cover is (appropriately enough) $7.

Produced by The Loft’s Andy Patalan (who also wields guitar in Sponge and Throttlebody), “Seven” includes seven blazing rock tracks. The title also refers to 60 Second Crush’s newest guitarist Brent Hall - also dubbed “Lucky Seven” for the incendiary lead guitar fire power he adds to the band. “Brent’s like the Molotov Cocktail of rock and roll.  His tone is reminiscent of The Stooges’ Ron Asheton – an unbridled inferno of sound!” raves 60 Second Crush’s rhythm guitarist Peder “The Terminator” Seglund.”
