Our friend Brandon Zwagerman wrote to point out that in our recent post about Deastro and Rodriguez coming in number two and number three, consecutively, on eMusic.com's year-end list of the best albums of 2008, we didn't mention two other Michigan acts that made the list:

Benoit Pioulard came in at number 87, while Breathe Owl Breathe placed at number 53. He also notes that half of the band High Places, which made the eMusic list as well, are from Allendale, MI.

Brandon would know this stuff. He's the promoter behind the third annual Mittenfest, which takes place this weekend at the Elbow Room in Ypsilanti.
