[Updated 5:33 p.m. Feb. 10, 2015: This post originally stated that Sintex designed the toy. The toy's packaging says it was “conceived and rendered by Sintex; designed and sculpted by P2PL.” Learn more about how the toy came to fruition here.]
While we're on the topic of
Dilla Weekend, we should mention that when
we interviewed the Detroit artist Sintex he showed us this licensed J Dilla toy he helped design along with the South Korean-based artist Philip Young Song. The limited edition figurine sold out in a pre-sale, but website Rappcats says more will be available once they are released later this month (
subscribe to their newsletter if you're interested in snagging one).
Learn more about the toy over at Rappcats. We dig the attention to detail!
Sintex also told us that a Danny Brown toy is also in the works — you can check it out on
his website.
