In the tradition of J-Dilla, Detroit DJs and hip-hop beat makers are continuing to drop original hip-hop instrumental projects. Emcee and producer Nolan the Ninja has just released his latest single, “Sunset” from his album lo-fi l∞ps (which was released this past May).
The melodic two minute and 30 second track is accompanied by a video that shows Nolan sharing beers with folks at an apparel shop and spinning records at The Old Miami. He promises that more videos, singles, and remixes are on the way.
