
The annual Record Store Day Black Friday edition is a highly anticipated holiday event for music lovers and vinyl collectors. The coalition of indie music shops in the metro area will participate in exclusive album drops and holiday shopping deals with a range of releases from contemporary to classic artists. Some Detroit-releated releases include Big Brother & The Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin Live at the Grande Ballroom Detroit; March 2, 1968; The Doors Live in Detroit recorded at Cobo Arena on May 8, 1970; and Don’t Turn Me From Your Door by Motor City bluesman John Lee Hooker. There will be plenty of music and merch to shop for on Black Friday, so support your local retailers and find the perfect gift for the audiophiles on your list.
