Though details surrounding Ford Motor Co.'s acquisition of the long-neglected Michigan Central Station have been under wraps since the announcement was made last week, we now know that Big Sean has his hand in the festivities scheduled for tomorrow.

The Free Press reports that two anonymous sources say Big Sean will perform as part of the Ford Corktown celebration, which will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19. The free outdoor event will feature Bill Ford, Jim Hackett as well as other Detroit entrepreneurial figures and leaders who will help unveil more detailed plans for what's to come.

Included in Tuesday's announcement is more detailed information about the open house slated for this weekend, which will offer an inside look at Michigan Central Station before renovations are underway.

The event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis but guests are encouraged to register here. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the scheduled program following promptly at 11 a.m.

This marks a busy week for the Detroit rapper as he is hosting the first annual Detroit's On Now weekend starting with a private fundraiser for the Motown Museum on Thursday, June 21 and a block party at the Ford Recreation Center on Saturday, June 23. The free weekend, which is sponsored in part by Ford Motor Co., will focus on youth engagement and community outreach.  Earlier this month, Big Sean announced that he would be teaming up with Detroit Public Schools Community District to push student enrollment.
