While 800beloved are playing at the Hamtramck Music Festival tonight, we should point out that frontman Sean Lynch also has another gig this weekend as his solo project, No Body.

Guitar-based without being rock 'n' roll (though track "Stranger Women" sounds like it could be Chris Isaak at his most David Lynch-ian), fans of 800beloved should find plenty to love here. 800's penchant for dark themes are present, but while that band has occasional pop sensibilities, No Body is even chillier. The album is aptly titled The Uncanny Valley, and creates a tension with its mix of electronic and organic elements that responds to the gloom of living in the Information Age.

Catch No Body this weekend opening for Lust for Youth at UFO Factory. Starts at 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 8; $10. Steve Jr., Denim, and Something Cold DJs are also on the bill. More information available at Facebook.
