7th House

Editor's Note: The 7th House is not open for business at this time but may reopen some time soon. Please check back for an update.

"The 7th House is a cabaret-style concert club which opened in downtown Pontiac in late November of 1994. By the following summer, a budding star named Alanis Morrissette had sold the place out, as did a veteran like Deborah Harry, who performed with the Jazz Passengers in September of that year. In the first half of 1996, artists as varied as Buckwheat Zydeco, Aimee Mann, Me'Shell N'degeocello and Kenny Wayne Shepard played to capacity crowds. The lush burgundy drapes on the stage provide a perfect lounge setting for performers like Combustible Edison and Gavin Friday. The 7th House is popular because of its size, which gives concertgoers an up-close look at their favorite musicians. The 7th House accomodates 300 with tables and 450 without, with balcony room available." – from the 7th House's former Web site
