Curt Catallo and Ann Stevenson — whose Union Joints restaurant group also runs spots like Clarkston's Latin-inspired Honcho and the Union Woodshop — tell Eater that the restaurant will offer dishes like barbacoa sticky ribs, papas con chorizo pie, and fugazetta. Though it'll be similar to Honcho, Gran Castor will explore more South American fare, and be more of a "street food" concept.
The approximately 200-seat restaurant will hold a lounge, full bar, and a cafe space that will open earlier in the day and feature coffee beans from Honcho.
The Hooters, at 2950 Rochester Road, closed in January. It was previously also home to Wagon Wheel Saloon.
