Tiki time — The Oakland, Ferndale’s prime destination for craft cocktail culture, is reopening its Honi Honi Tiki Bar for the third year in a row. The action takes place on the patio behind the regular bar, and it’s playing host to a grand opening this week with a special pig roast from Detroit BBQ Company. Owner Sandy Levine says it’s basically the polar opposite of the Oakland, with a special menu of about 10 boat drinks — including mai tais, honi honis, and kaleidoscope eyes — costing $6 or less, with $2 beers.
