The owners of the popular Grand Rapids craft beer bar HopCat recently announced plans to bring a 130-tap beer house to the Motor City.
“It will be our largest one yet,” says owner Mark Sellers, who manages the original HopCat, as well as a second branch in East Lansing.
Equipped with well over 100 handles and taking up some 11,000 square feet, HopCat Detroit will be home to the largest draft beer selection in the entire state of Michigan.
Sellers has yet to divulge the prospective location of the new hotspot, but he did say that a live-music venue would most certainly be included.
In addition to bringing HopCat to Detroit, Sellers also has plans to open up shop in other Midwest cities, including Ann Arbor, Chicago and Indianapolis.
HopCat Detroit plans an August 2014 opening.
