Construction is underway on Pinky's Rooftop, a new restaurant taking shape in the former Red Fox Rooftop space in downtown Royal Oak.

When it opens sometime this spring, the eatery will hold "an eclectic, vintage vibe with dining and lounge seating," and a "70-seat garden-themed outdoor rooftop restaurant," according to a press release. A 90-seat indoor space will offer a full bar, and diners will choose from a selection of small plates, freshly shucked oysters, and craft cocktails.

Pinky's, at 100 Man St., is the latest concept from Adam Merkel Restaurants, which, among other eateries, runs Diamonds Steak and Seafood.

It's also the latest in a group of restaurants that are under construction or have recently opened in Royal Oak.
