Two new restaurants are set to open in downtown Detroit.
A new Lebanese restaurant from the owners of Ferndale's Anita's Kitchen opens on Monday.
The fast casual space called AK Takeaway at 150 W. Jefferson Ave. near Woodward will offer a menu similar to that of Anita's with shawarma, gyros, falafel, and other sandwiches. The menu also features Lebanese salads and bowls with hummus and zata'ar, chicken shawarma, and buffalo chicken.
AK Takeaway will also begin breakfast service at some point in the future, Eater reports.
Eastpointe's Detroit Wing Company is also opening a new location on Monday, but in the MGM Casino.
It'll be the third location and first in Detroit for the restaurant, which offers traditional wings, boneless wings, and chicken tenders, as well as house-made sides like mac and cheese, poutine, and cornbread. Detroit Wing Company also makes its own sauces, which range from honey barbecue to buffalo to creole parmesan to habanero ranch.
