Blood, Sweat, and Beer, a new documentary about the craft beer industry, is set to premiere tonight at HopCat Detroit. The film, which will be screened for free, is centered on three 23-year-olds who are working to start a new brewery in Braddock, Penn. The trio not only hopes their venture will be successful but that it will help the town rebound from years of decline. (Sounds a little bit like a city we know, eh?)

Another brewery owner, Danny Robinson, will also be featured in the film. Robinson's empire, which includes restaurants along with his beer-making enterprise, is threatened by a trademark lawsuit that could rob him of everything he owns.

To promote the film, directors Chris Hiden and Alexis Irvin are traveling the country, hitting craft beer hubs along the way to present the documentary to other craft beer lovers. They say the film showcases the efforts and passion that's present in the craft beer industry. BarFly Ventures, HopCat's parent company, will also be showing the film for free at Grand Rapids Brewing Company on Thursday, April 23.

The screening begins at 7:30 p.m. HopCat Detroit is located at 4265 Woodward Ave., Detroit.
