The Michigan-based grocer, which specializes in natural and organic foods, will be bringing a scaled-down "street style" Plum Market to the Ally Financial building at One Detroit Center. Contrary to its full-sized markets and mini-marts, the downtown Detroit Plum Market will feature fast-casual meals for daytime, as well as a full-service bar perfect for happy hour.
In a press statement, Plum Market went into detail about the offerings at the new downtown Detroit location:
This new location will feature an onsite kitchen serving chef crafted, prepared foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grab & Go food options will include self-service hot foods, fresh salads, soups, and signature sandwiches, made from All Natural and peak of season ingredients. Plum Market’s space will also include a full-service bar offering wine, local beer, and craft cocktails as well as a coffee bar brewing Zingerman’s Coffee. Packaged snacks and fresh cut flowers will be available for retail, as well as Zingerman’s artisan baked goods and specialty candies. The location will be home to ‘The Spirit Room,’ Plum Market’s rentable event space with outdoor seating overlooking the Spirit of Detroit.
Plum Market has four full market locations in Ann Arbor, Bloomfield, and West Bloomfield. The Michigan grocer also has mini Plum Markets at Oakland University and the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
