Kuzzo's Chicken and Waffles has food so good, folks can't seem to stay away. And that goes for thieves too. WDIV reports that the popular Livernois Avenue eatery suffered not one, but TWO robberies early Tuesday morning. Fortunately, the would-be robbers got away with very little.

Former NFLer and Kuzzo's owner Ron Bartell said that the first break-in occurred around 2 a.m.: "Two men pried their way in through a backdoor and left with the register drawer. Inside was only a few bucks," WDIV's Shawn Ley reports. "One hour later, another man shows up and enters through the same door. He gets into the office and steals a safe. A dummy safe meant to fool thieves. No money was inside."

What's more, Bartell got the whole thing on camera. "I can’t give away all the secrets but we have measures in place," Bartell told WDIV. "For the person who broke in, it wasn’t even worth it to do it and anybody else for that matter."
