Traci Jo Rizzo has been at Go Comedy for four years now, the longest of any of their front of house staff. Her experience shows, as well as her love for her job. "This is the best job I've ever had," she gushes. "I'm constantly surrounded by people who are trying to make me laugh and make me smile."

Of course, she doesn't just spend all her time giggling. She's constantly playing with ingredients, most of which are from Michigan-based companies, to come up with new drinks, which are added to the bar's already expansive menu. "We really like to carry local Michigan products. Plus, lots of good things come out of Michigan, so we have some great flavors to work with," says Rizzo. Those ingredients are used to put a special twist on cocktails that are already considered classic.

While their drink menu is quite large, they do have special menus that correspond with the seasons. In the summer she says they carry a lot of cucumber-based drinks or fruity beverages that play well with the warm weather. In the winter, expect warmer flavors.

While we were in, Rizzo poured us the Detroit Blossom, which tastes as pretty as it sounds.

Detroit Blossom

Half ounce Chambord

1 ounce Valentine White Blossom Vodka

1 splash fresh-pressed grapefruit juice

1 splash fresh lime juice

Pour all ingredients into tumbler in order, fill with ice and soda water.
