Lovers can have their own Lady and the Tramp moment this Valentine's Day but with a deliciously messy and budget-friendly Detroit twist. (On second thought, maybe leave it to spaghetti.)
Downtown Detroit's American Coney Island will host "Coneys by Candlelight" during which couples that don't mind some gnarly onion kisses can dine on the ultimate heart-burning aphrodisiac — the coney dog. The special dining event takes place on Valentine's Day — which is Thursday, Feb. 14 for all you slackers — between 6 and 8 p.m. Reservations are not needed and there will be "complimentary long-stem roses" as well as other romantic touches.
Earlier in the day, American Coney Island will, once again, team up with WCSX to invite 10 pre-selected couples looking to renew their wedding vows to share in a group reception officiated by radio personality "Big Jim" O'Brien on the big V-Day. There will be a coney cake, coney dogs, and all are welcomed to celebrate starting at 11 a.m.
Couples interested in doin' it again should enter here before Feb. 8.
