When you think of tequila, you probably think of Patron. The beautifully crafted agave-based liquor embodies the term "top shelf."
But the folks behind Patron weren't satisfied with just making perfectly delicious large batch tequila that people the world over enjoy. That's why they started Roca Patron.
Employing an artisanal process called Tahona, the folks at Patron crush 100 percent pure cooked Weber Blue Agave on a 2-ton volcanic stone wheel using the finest 100 percent Weber Blue Agave. They then bottle it in small batches in aged bourbon barrels. Sounds pretty artisanal, doesn't it?
Patron crafts a silver, reposado, and anejo and each has its own merits. Crystal clear silver smells of fresh citrus and has an earthy, sweet flavor with notes of black pepper, cooked agave, and citrus and finishes clean. Reposado is a light straw color, smells like vanilla, American Oak, and citrus with a smooth, sweet flavor with notes of ginger, caramel, and mushroom. And anejo, aged for 14 months, is a medium gold. It has a sweet and spicy aroma with hints of vanilla and fruit. Drinkers will taste citrus, light ginger, and black pepper with a velvety smooth finish.
