The Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Ale
4.4% ABV
Spring is here, friends. Each day the weather is getting warmer and soon the days of sipping suds on the patio will arrive.
As the temperatures increase, chances are you'll be putting away those thick stouts and filling porters in lieu of something lighter, fruitier, and a little more spring-like.
And have we got just the drink for you.
The Traveler Beer Co. is known for taking drinkers on a journey with their family of American wheat ales, and its Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Ale is no different. Made with two-row malted barley and malted wheat along with Hallertau hops, the special ingredient here is the real grapefruit used to produce this tasty ale.
Unlike other fruit beers, Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Ale isn't cloyingly sweet. That overdone saccharine flavor is replaced by a nice citrus kick and some mild carbonation that combine for the perfect warm weather beverage.
Sure, a couple cold bottles of Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Ale are mighty refreshing after mowing the lawn on a hot summer day, but consider using this fine beverage to create a thirst-quenching cocktail. We've included a recipe for your tasting and trying pleasure.
