Accumulation White IPA | 6.2% | 70 IBU

While it's been cold since October, winter is only a few weeks old. On Dec. 21 the solstice brought the shortest day of the year and with it the official commencement of the coldest season of the year.

So, instead of wishing it were spring already, let's enjoy it. This delicious White IPA from New Belgium is a good place to start. While darker beers are more traditional this time of year, Accumulation turns that standard on its head. With tons of hops and a little wheat, it has a super smooth mouthfeel, and it warms the belly all the way down. It's lighter than you'd expect but also hoppy. It pours a pale gold with a cloudy haze and has that big, bitter flavor that IPA drinkers love.

The label reads, "Flurries of Mosaic and Amarillo hops bring soft fruit and citrus flavor followed by a layer of bitter in our seasonably suited White IPA."

We say, let it snow.
